[Rxtx] Project Status

I spent the last two weeks evaluating RxTx and fixing a few problems on my local copy.

I might be wrong, but it seems to me this project has been abandoned. The latest CVS revision is over a year old, and prior to that the revisions are 4 years old. There are a lot of bug reports that have been ignored. The author doesn't respond to emails.

So my questions is: What is the status of this project?
