[Rxtx] Need help with CVS

If I download the rxtx-2.1-7r2.zip file, unzip it, apply changes, then try to create a patch, I get an error because it's logging into the wrong location:

Logging in to :pserver:anonymous at cvs.milestonesolutions.com:2401:/usr/local/cvsroot

If I do a checkout from the url pserver:anonymous at qbang.org:/var/cvs/cvsroot,
everything works as expected - creating a patch logs me in as anonymous.

I tried browsing the repository, but I can't seem to make sense of the layout.

How do I get CVS to work on previous versions?
